I can’t say enough nice things about Sam and Christine. They are such wonderful people, and their wedding reflected how wonderful they are. There was this amazing outpouring of emotion. It had everything, I laughed, I cried. I was sorry to see the day end but am so thrilled that these two are together.

Kristin and Matt: Engaged! | Shakori Hills Grassroots Festival. Pittsboro, NC

Kristin and Matt had a completely different session from what I usually shoot. It was so great to do something like this. So, we headed down to the Shakori Hills Grassroots Festival in Pittsboro and had a little engagement session. It was great. There were kids everywhere, musicians playing, arts and crafts, vendors, and people just having a fantastic time.

Kristin was able to borrow some masks from the Paperhand Puppet Intervention and they were so fun!

Thank you both so much for planning something so fun with me. I hope this is just the first of many shoots like this.

Alex loves Kate: Married! | Corolla, NC

Alex and Kate had an amazing (beach/backyard/party) wedding in the Outer Banks. They had all their closest friends out for a few days on the beach, so everyone could have a great time, and had a grand finale with a wedding. It was such a great idea. I’m so glad that they decided to have a first look. It was so sweet and touching.Instead of the typical bridal bouquet, Kate carried sparklers down the aisle!!! Daisy, the dog/ring bearer, didn’t want to give up those rings quite yet!!

The Outer Banks | Corolla, North Carolina

I had the great pleasure of visiting the Outer Banks this last weekend to photograph Kate and Alex’s wedding on the Sound. Luckily, my schedule worked out that I could spend an extra couple days exploring this magical, amazing place. I was so thrilled. There are wild horses in the Outer Banks! Amazing! This one posed. Never having been an early bird type person, I had no idea that beaches were so alive at 8:00 am. There were dolphins and birds every where.

Scotts and Maryjo | Engaged!

Maryjo and Scotts are the sweetest couple and their love for each other is so adorable.

They are having wedding pies instead of cake on their wedding day. I am so excited, I’m gonna have two!

I cannot wait to watch you two get married in May. Thank you for having me. I am so honored.

A little walk in the woods….

We went for a little walk in the woods and somehow we ended up getting a scoop over at Maple View Farms, over in Hillsborough. If you ever get the chance, you should go. You can go get ice cream in the country store, sit out side on the wrap around front porch in a rocking chair and look at what every farm should like look. Another perfect childhood memory, another reason to love the South. Oh yeah, and it was the best ice cream ever.
