Katherine is one of my dear friends and favorite photographers, so when she asked me to capture a few shots of her and her family I was thrilled and totally intimidated all at the same time, but, I think they turned out pretty well, don't you? The perfect, adorable, tiny baby made it easy.
Love you friend.
There is nothing like going back to a family less than a week after the welcome a new tiny person to their family. It was so wonderful to see everyone bonding and learning each others rhythms, cuddling, loving each other, and just enjoying being a family. Mostly, I just love babies. I love their tiny little fingers, their little ears, their soft hair... so I was thrilled when Jess called me back to come photograph the new little baby and her family. It is especially wonderful and incredibly flattering to have Jess of all people have me come. She is an incredibly talented photographer whose work I just love. You can go look at her work here. And not only is she talented, she's super sweet. I really love when I have clients who I can see being friends.
Oh, and p.s. She made the baby quilt. It's in the middle. Crafty.
I love being a families photographer. I have photographed Candra and Kengie when they were freshly engaged, their beautiful All Saints Chapel/Marbles Kids Museum wedding, Caleb's newborn session and now his one year old session. I am getting to watch them grow. These are the things that make me happy. This is what brings me joy, as a photographer.
